My name is Lisa Evans Pickelsimer. I have been a hygienist with this practice since June 1991 and have been in dentistry since 1985. My husband and I have a beautiful daughter and grandson. At any event with our office, you can bet that I’ll have a camera as I love photography. On the weekends, you can always find us boating, scalloping, ATV riding, or doing anything outdoors!
My name is Elizabeth Steffens, and I have been a dental hygienist with our practice since 2000. I truly enjoy catching up with each patient when they are in our office, as I feel that many have become close friends. My husband and I have two amazing children, Evan and Ethan, who love to play soccer. I was born and raised in Gainesville, thus my love for the Gators. On the weekends, when we are not carting the kids around to games, I love to jog, go to the beach, and spend time with family and friends here in town!
Hi, my name is Donna Adkins. In 1989 I became a dental hygienist and have enjoyed educating and encouraging patients through their dental journey. I love getting to know my patients and building long-term relationships. I grew up locally and still reside in Lake Mary with my husband and two children. I enjoy a good cup of coffee, running, and hanging with family, friends and my dog, Daisy.
My name is Araceli Bornacelli, but everyone calls me Celi! I have been with the office since 2005 and have found a second family! I was raised in Chicago, and I love visiting there to see family and friends. I am also fluent in Spanish. My husband Larry and I have two young daughters, Lily and Adeline, who, needless to say, keep us very busy! One of my passions outside of family and work is my love of music of all kinds. My name is Sarah Folan, and I have been with this office since 1997, serving in several capacities. I had the fortune of serving as Dr. Nofsinger’s chairside assistant for 14 years. I then decided to go back to school for my dental hygiene degree. Upon graduation, I found myself back here at my second “home” as a hygienist, and I have been doing so ever since. A graduate of Lyman High School, my husband Tim and I have a son, Jacob, and enjoy boating and fishing.
Hi! My name is Carrie Padgett. I feel so blessed to have been with this practice since January of 1998, and I truly consider my coworkers and many of my patients to be family. These people are the reason you will always see a huge smile on my face! I’ve absolutely loved watching the practice grow will still keeping that true small-town “family” feel. I was raised here in Orlando and graduated from Mars Hill College in Asheville, NC. My husband Mark and I have two beautiful daughters named Emma and Anna – they keep us very busy! I love animals, I am a parent to 2 dogs, Lucca and Leo and a sweet cat named Girl. What I enjoy doing the most is anything skin care related, fashion and interior design. I also love gardening and have tons of indoor plants. I'm very p assionate about my job; the staff at our practice make it so much fun to work here!
My name is Tiffany Bradley. I started with the practice as a dental assisting intern in 2000, and upon graduation from Orlando Tech, I was hired in January of 2001. I drive every day from Volusia County and pass many other dental practices before I reach ours. I really love this office, the doctors, my fellow staff members, and especially our awesome patients! I have a passion for dentistry and teaching. In 2010 I received my undergraduate degree in Technical Education and Industry Training from UCF. Hello, I’m Pam Smith! I have been a dental assistant for over 40 years and have been married for 35. When I find something I love, I guess I stick with it! I was raised primarily in Florida and have three daughters and five grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and watching sports on the weekends. Hi, my name is Vanessa Cieszynski, and I’ve been a dental assistant with this practice since 2013. I love dentistry and our wonderful family of patients! I’m a Florida native and grew up in Central Florida. My husband Josh and I have a beautiful daughter, Kara Jo, and a lovable dog named Tank. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, working on projects and spending time with family and friends.
I’m Anna-Maria, and I’ve been working as a dental assistant for well over 30 years so far! I moved to Orlando in 1982 from Berlin, Germany and completed my EDDA certification at Southern College. I love being able to help people through my job and give them new reasons to smile. At home, my husband Michael and I have three “fur kids,” also known as dogs. In my free time, I like to read, stay fit, and go to nearby theme parks.
My name is Lissette, and I’ve been working in the dental field for almost 20 years so far. I studied at Pasadena City College and am certified in CPR, OSHA, and nitrous sedation. I’m also fluent in Spanish! I became an assistant to overcome my own fear of the dentist’s office and to help others finally overcome theirs as well! Today, I love being able to turn a patient’s frown into a smile again. I’m originally from Los Angeles, and my husband Adrian and I have two fat cats and one love bird at home. In my free time, I always love going to the beach, visiting museums, watching movies, and reading.
Nichole was born and raised in Taunton, Massachusetts. She enthusiastically roots for her favorite hometown sports team, the Red Sox and New England Patriots! She received her CDA in 2003 from the Community College of Rhode Island and relocated to Florida in 2006. Nichole was drawn to dentistry because she loves to see people smile. At home she enjoys spending time with her family from riding motorcycles to soccer games. A fun fact about Nichole is that she has been a dancer/gymnast since the age of 4. You will find her singing and dancing most evenings in the kitchen while cooking dinner with her family.
I’m Kelli, your hygiene coordinator. I’ve had the pleasure of calling this practice home since 2005. When I’m not here welcoming new or returning patients, I enjoy spending time with my amazing husband and daughter as well as my family and friends. I enjoy playing sports, staying fit and healthy, and traveling all while having fun! Being a part of our team has given me the opportunity to foster relationships with many of our patients and our phenomenal team. Hello, I’m Cindy! I’ve been the financial coordinator at Distinctive Dentistry on Maitland for a few years now. I studied at UCF for my undergraduate degree and then attended graduate school at the Loyola University of Chicago. Today, what I enjoy most about my job is the wonderful coworkers and patients! I’m originally from Jacksonville, and my dad was even stationed at the NAS JAX Base. I’m married with two children at home. My favorite hobbies include practicing yoga, running, spending quality time with loved ones, and keeping up with UCF football. GO KNIGHTS!
I’m Douglas Jackson, and my career in the dental field spans over 45 years so far, with many of them spent right here at Distinctive Dentistry on Maitland. I attended Valencia Community College and have also studied at world-renowned dental institutions like the Dawson Center and the Pankey Institute. I love working in a team-oriented environment and going above and beyond to exceed each patient’s expectations. My patient nature makes me a great fit for laboratory work! I’m an Orlando native and have a blended family with three grown sons. My wife worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Roger Nofsinger in the 1970’s and early 1980’s. Outside of the practice, my interests include reading and trivia.
I’m Kevin, and I’m originally from Sand Springs, OK. I’ve been working in dentistry for over 25 years and first joined Distinctive Dentistry on Maitland a little over five years ago. I’m retired from the US Air Force and actually completed my AAS degree in dental laboratory technology at the Community College of The Air Force. I’ve also certified in crown & bridge and advanced porcelain techniques. What I enjoy most about my work is interacting with patients and being part of a team that changes so many smiles for the better. My wife Michelle and I have three children named Kyle, Madison, and Meghan. Outside of the office, you can usually find me smoking brisket.
