Dr. Timothy Lane

A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in dentistry from Indiana University, Dr. Timothy Lane has been providing comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages since 1988. Before going into private practice, he served as an officer in the US Navy Dental Corps, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Over the years, he has been in many leadership roles in the dental community, and he’s a former president of the Dental Society of Greater Orlando. Despite his decades of experience, he is still deeply committed to continuing education and completes many hours each year so he can stay on top of the latest developments in dentistry.

Dr. Charles Curley

Dr. Curley is a proud Orlando native who obtained his dental degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He is very active in the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and Dental Society of Greater Orlando so he can continue to learn and grow as a general, restorative, and cosmetic dentist near Winter Park. Outside of the dental office, Dr. Curley likes to dedicate much of his free time to giving back to the community, which is why he regularly volunteers at the Orlando Dental Research Clinic. It’s a place where patients who are unable to receive dental care anywhere else can get high-quality basic services. He also donates his time and expertise to the ADA’s Give Kids a Smile campaign every year.

Dr. Brett Zak

Dr. Zak is a true homegrown Florida dentist, as he’s originally from Orlando and received both his bachelor and dental degrees from the University of Florida. After finishing dental school, Dr. Zak completed countless hours of continuing education focused on esthetics and full-mouth rehabilitation at some of the most respected institutions in all of dentistry, including the Scottsdale Institute, the Pankey Institute, and the Dawson Academy. He is very involved with the local dental community and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Dental Society of Greater Orlando. If you think you recognize Dr. Zak, you probably do, as he’s a regular contributor on Fox 35’s “Good Day Orlando,” and he’s also made appearances in Cosmopolitan Magazine and Good Morning America.

Dr. Scott McCauley

Growing up in Naples, Dr. McCauley learned the ethics of hard work thanks to his family’s citrus farm. Eventually, he graduated from the University of Florida with his dental degree, and he now strives to maximize our patient’s smiles when it comes to both health and beauty. He does this by taking extra time with each patient, so he truly understands what they hope to accomplish with their care.  He is currently in the House of Delegates for the Florida Dental Association, and he’s also on the board for their political action committee. Away from the dental office, he serves on the Community Leadership Council at the Howard Phillips Center for Children and Families.

How do I get emergency dental care?

If you find yourself amid a dental emergency, like a knocked-out tooth or loose restoration, do your best not to panic. Instead, do your best to assess the situation. If you’re struggling with any potentially life-threatening symptoms, like uncontrollable bleeding or the inability to breathe, then your first priority should be to head to your nearest emergency room or call 911. Otherwise, the first step to getting emergency dental care is calling your dentist. Our dental office offers morning, afternoon, and lunchtime hours, giving us the highest chances of being able to provide you with same-day treatment.

How do I find the best place to get dental work done?

Finding the right dental office for you starts with one important question… What’s important to you? While some patients are looking for a dental office that welcomes dental insurance, others are looking for a place that is close to home and convenient to get to. Once you’ve homed in on what you’re searching for, you can turn to trusty Google to find a list of dental practices nearby. Take a look at their websites, check out their reviews, look at their office photos, and read the doctors’ bios to get a better understanding of the vibe of the practice. When you come across a practice you’re interested in visiting, reach out to their team!

How much does a dental check-up & cleaning cost in Winter Park?

The cost of a dental checkup and cleaning depends largely on the practice. However, the usual range is anywhere from $200 to $350 in the United States. Thanks to dental insurance, these routine visits are often covered in full, however, leaving you with little-to-no out-of-pocket expenses.

What do you do if you can't afford a dentist?

If you don’t have dental insurance, then you may automatically assume that you can’t afford dental care. Luckily, there is another way to get the essential dental care you need without breaking the bank: flexible financing. In short, partnering with trusted third-party financiers allows patients to space-out the cost of their treatment over the course of several months (often with zero interest too!). Remember, neglecting essential preventive and restorative care can result in costly consequences. So, the best choice for your smile and your wallet is to get any needed dental work done sooner rather than later.
